About Dr. Melissa Selke...

Dr. Melissa Selke is a Board Certified Family Physician who has been in private practice for the last 10 years. She is presently in solo practice in Hillsborough where she has resided with her family (husband and two daughters) since 2003. She is a native of Randolph, New Jersey. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The Johns Hopkins University where she earned her BA in Behavioral Science. She received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed her Family Practice Residency in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Selke was 1 of 20 resident physicians nationwide awarded the 1997 Mead Johnson Award for Graduate Education in Family Practice, in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements, mentoring and community service. She was honored by the New Jersey State Legislature in a Joint Legislative Resolution by Donald DiFrancesco, President of the Senate, for her “uncommon devotion to her profession, a high level of educational achievement, and a superlative level of compassion.” She provides personal care for the entire family, as well as laser cosmetic and therapeutic procedures and Skin Bella Particle-Free microdermabrasion treatments. She had provided family care with Obstetrics until September, 2005 when she stopped delivering babies because of the rising costs of malpractice insurance. She holds staff privileges at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
